Skin Check and Treatment FAQ

Do I need referral for skin check?

There is no need for referral.

Is there any out of pocket charge for procedure?

Yes. Depending on the complexity of the procedure you need to pay a small gap which is payable after the result becomes available. You will be offered other options, including referral to public system which there is gap-free.

How should I book for a procedure?

Your doctor will hand you a referral note to get to the reception, written the exact amount of gap, and the needed time, then you can choose any available time which suits you. You will be booked with a nurse for the wound review and dressing change, usually 2 days after the procedure.

The 3rd appointment, again with a nurse, would be appointed on the procedure day for suture removal which depends on location of the lesion and procedure.

Anti Wrinkle

What wrinkles can I treat with Xeomin®,Botox® and Dysport®?

While some patients think all wrinkles can be treated with Xeomin®, Botox®, or Dysport®, this isn’t accurate. Because they work by relaxing (and therefore smoothing) facial muscles, these injections are most effective for wrinkles that are caused by tensed muscles due to repeated facial expressions. These include crow’s feet, frown lines between the eyebrows, and forehead creases.

How long will myXeomin®/ Botox®/Dysport® treatment take and how much recovery time will I need?

One of my patients’ favorite aspects of Xeomin®, Botox® and Dysport® injections is how convenient they are for facial rejuvenation. The treatment only takes about 5 minutes to perform, and it doesn’t require any downtime. Many patients find it easy to have their procedure during one of their lunch breaks.

When and for how long will I see my Xeomin®, Botox® or Dysport® results?

Because the injections are working with your body’s natural processes, it takes about 24-48hrs ( for Dysport ), and 3-4 days ( for Xeomin and Botox ) for the results to begin appearing, and they should reach their full effect within a week of your treatment. The results will generally last 3-4 months, though this will vary from patient to patient.

What’s the difference between Xeomin®, Botox® and Dysport®?

Xeomin®, Botox® and Dysport® are 3 companies’ versions of the same product. They all contain the same active ingredient (botulinum neurotoxin) however they are produced in different ways which influences the purity of the product. Some products contain unnecessary proteins, which do not help the active ingredient work in the body. Xeomin®, is a purified one which helps to not to develop resistance.

Are Xeomin®,Botox® and Dysport® injections safe?

While there is a risk of potential side effects like temporary muscle weakness, bruising, or a headache from Xeomin®, Botox® and Dysport®, the risk is very low. It’s important to note, though, that this risk increases dramatically when your injections are performed by someone who is less experienced and poorly trained. To ensure that your injections are as safe as possible, only get your treatment from a licensed with extensive experience.

How should I book for the treatment?

You need an initial free consultation, in which the doctor goes through all of details with you. You will be given time to ask any question. The detailed quote would be provided for different part of face. For the subsequent injections, you do not need to come in, just give us a call to put you on the list for the following clinic. On the time of booking you need to pay half of the given quote, and the rest on the day.
